Roofers and Cheapo Shopping

Today I phoned the roofer we have decided we want to do our roof for the second time as he had failed to call me back when I told him last week that he had secured our business. Alarm bells were starting to ring a bit due to his lack of response - I mean did he want the work or not? Anyway he did eventually return my second call and advised that he would do the work in mid to late August (subject to weather) which is fine by us.

Work was much calmer today, I am pleased to say, and there were no more incidents to report.

As we have a holiday coming up, in the not to distant future, we are on a bit of a budget at the moment and I decided to cancel our regular Sainsburys order and visit Lidls. Normally we would spend about £90 on a fortnightly Sainsburys shop but I went into Lidls with the challenge of just spending £50 and got everything we need for £49.75!!! Amazing! The only thing I couldn't get was bananas which we can pick up at the local market.
