Utterly Roofless!
Long day today at work and I was glad to get away at the end of the day. Spent most of early evening writing a covering letter for a job application (I do so hate it when they ask for a handwritten letter as it’s so hard to get it to look perfect).
Peter was in a lovely mood this evening (not that he’s normally grumpy you understand, he’s not, but he was just extra lovely which improved my mood too).
Later in the evening I did some more CV updating (based on the excellent little book I have obtained on writing the perfect CV – which has some excellent tips in it).
Then a pal I used to work with phoned and we had a good chat about her new job which, after a wobbly start, she is now enjoying which is great news.
Rang the third roofing contractor who came out to give us a quote two weeks ago and who still hasn’t sent it. The receptionist confirmed that she hadn’t typed it and didn’t recognise the name or the house address (frankly I feel like totally discounting them now as if they can’t even manage to get a quote out – what hope is there for doing a competent job on our roof!).
