Funny Old Day

Woke up to a very black and cloudy sky and toyed with the notion of whether to go to the local car book sale or not. We decided to go and to our surprise there were quite a few stall holders there - so we had a wander around and I bought a Stephen King book and a George Foreman Lean Green Grilling Machine which was 'as new' and cost £4! Afterwards, we stopped and got the papers and then headed home.

After an early lunch of burgers, cooked on the George Foreman of course, we watched a DVD that I'd had for my birthday ages ago. It was Al Gores an 'Inconvenient Truth' and it was very interesting, informative and frightening on what global warming is doing to our planet - gosh, what a better President he would have made than Bush! I did miss a bit towards the end by nodding off (not through boredom but through tiredness - I've been feeling whacked this weekend - probably due to all the stress of last week I guess with interviews and the like).

Phoned Dad to wish him happy Father's day (he had his present last weekend).

This afternoon the weather brightened up considerably and we got out and did a bit of gardening, Peter planted some pumpkins and I mowed the back lawn and Peter later mowed the front - so it looks all lovely and neat (for about a week!).

This evening I'll probably slob out in front of Britains Got Talent and Talk to Me.
