Friday 13th Part 2
Well the car made the drive into Andover! I dropped it in the garage and started walking across to the park with my book and rug to kill the time whilst it was being fixed. I had just crossed the road and I heard this car tooting its horn at me - I looked round and saw my friend Wendy. I followed her car around the corner and met up with her at her doctors which is where she was heading! What a coincidence! So rather than sitting in the park for a few hours I sat in the doctors waiting room chatting to Wendy, then went back to her place for a coffee. The garage rang a couple of hours later and said the car was ready - got a bit of a shock when I got back down there though - their estimate of about £100 had shot up to £170!!! Oh well, it had to be done and at least I can drive with confidence now.
Hit the usual traffic queue up to the Winnal Roundabout on the A34 and got home about 5 ish. Peter had got the early train so was home earlier than usual - he'd had to collect a parcel from the Post Office in town. We used to be able to collect parcels from the Royal Mail depot in Eastleigh which was extremely convenient as I could nip in on my way to work (it was open from 7.00am) but now we have 'progress' and have to collect it in town, which doesn't open until eveyone is at work and means paying for a parking ticket - great!
My cold got progressively worse during the evening - I don't know how much more I can blow my nose - it's so sore. We caught up with a few programmes this evening most wildlife and gardening one's. Got a few tips about planting under shady trees from Gardening World so when we can afford it I want to get some ferns for the border under the tree.
Hit the hay at a dreadfully early time and hope I didn't keep Peter awake too much with my nose blowing and snoring - not being to breath through my nose is not making me a good bed partner.
