That Friday Feeling

Actually a good day at work today!

Caught up with my workload - ventured into the Staff Room at lunch time to have a chat with Pauline who I used to work with. She is currently working as a temp in another department and is leaving next week as a permanent member of staff has now been employed. Just getting away from my desk for half a hour was a real treat and quite a rarity but I have vowed to do it at least once a week from now on to give myself a break and to be more socialable!

Spent the afternoon working on a PowerPoint presentation which allowed me to be creative for once - I really enjoyed that piece of work. Importing images and designing the layout to make it look proffesional. Bosses are always really impressed when you hand over a finished presentation too which earns one 'boss points'.

There are a lot of routes I can choose to take home and I chose the A34 tonight - big mistake as the queues were horrendous - I guess the rain, which was torrential, was slowing everything down.

As there are only a few days to the next weigh-in I had a Sainsbury Supernaturals Beef and Ginger microwave meal for tea. They are yummy - one up on the usual microwave fayre as they are fresh and you just zap them for 3.5 mins. Plus they only use up 7 weight watchers points.

Peter has brought is work laptop home and I'm typing this in bed whilst watching the telly - bliss! Peter has a new 'special interest video' which he is watching downstairs. No! not that type of special interest - a train video!

The rain is hammering and the wind is really strong - our garden has turned into a bog again - lord knows when we will be able to get out there and tackle the jungle of grass - it just never seems to dry out! My plans for tomorrow are to catch up on some reading whilst Peter is at football - a nice peaceful day I hope.

Completed another U-Gov survey today - they pay you 50 pence for every survey you complete and I have £5 in my account. You can't claim your cash though until you get up to £50 so a few more to do yet.
