Standing Up

Another rotten day at tut mill.

I was asked to take on something additional at work and I said 'no' and now I'm miss unpopular in certain quarters I feel. The task in question would have meant more hours and sitting through an additonal meeting (which I absolutely hate) . I already get into work at around 7.30am and work through to 4 O'clock with about 10 minutes for lunch so this was a request too far and even though it would have earn't me 'brownie points' I decided my life outside of work was more important.

It's really horrible saying no to something and then being made to feel bad about it - isn't it supposed to be empowering using the 'no word' - if so, why do I feel so crap and like I'm letting people down.............

Went to bed really early this evening and curled up in a ball - sometimes life sucks and I just want to hide. Peter did bring me up a bunch of grapes though (as chocolate is not allowed at the moment!!)
